glorious mountains

My zodiac sign is Cancer. I am supposed to be a water baby. Mabye if I didn't live in the heart of Colorado I would be. However. The mountains. Oh, how I love the mountains. They truly speak to me. When I am in the mountains I am in a different world. I am calm, I am peaceful. I love the mountains.

Last week we spent the week in a cabin. Albeit a very modern cabin. We were lacking nothing. It was so small. So minimal. All we had was ourselves and the outdoors. The beautiful, wonderful, "falling" outdoors. Everytime little E would look out the window and see the leaves falling to the ground he would point and say "look Oma, it's falling outside". Yes it was, quite beautifully I might add.
Up until this weekend (and I have lived in Colorado most of my life) all my sightings of wildlife in the mountains was roadkill along side the highway (sad but true). However, this weekend I saw wildlife in abundance. I watched deer frolic for hours. Male deer chasing female deer, many deer just running and jumping and trotting. In the river, on the land, over the hill and back again. Even getting as close to my front door as 6 feet!! Beautiful wonderful nature at play. I was in heaven. It truly was a week of heaven for me.
I am a mountain girl. I want to live in the mountains. I want to be a part of the mountains. I want to live out the rest of my life in the mountains. It is where I am happiest. It is where I want to be.
