dysfunction junction what's your function
Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 - 1:49 p.m.

Family.
Family can be described in many forms. The most common one in our era is the "dysfuctional family". All told, I think ALL families are dysfunctional. In all its normal glory when I was a kid, when I look back on my family now, holy hell, dysfunction all the way baby. And now. even more so. However, I love each and every one of them all the same. I would not want to change any entity in my little relm that I call my family.
My "good" daughter showed up on time, albeit 30 minutes late. With her live in boyfriend. We were having a great time. My other daughter showed up around 4p.m. to see her kids. I think a social worker type entity put a bug in her ear that if she really "cared" about her kids she would be a part of their holidays. So, she stayed for the obligatory 60 minutes (literally). Dinner was supposed to be at 3, it happened at 4:30 (ok, yes I have dysfunction also!!!). Boyfriends kin didn't show up until 6:30 p.m. With that in mind, I Had A Blast!!! I had so much fun. I love each and every one of those indigent little mamba jambas. My daughters, his sons, his nieces, his sister. All Of Them. I am thankful for having this wonderful glorious family. They give me reason to live. Even if they don't know it right now. I love them all, and they all make my heart sing in it's own way!!
I am thankful for another day to be a part of their lives.
As for my sister. She is doing better. Still in the hospital. Funny. She is the strongest woman I know. She keeps me alive and sane more often then not. Yet she is so weak. And will not advocate for herself. Good thing she taught me and her daughter well! I'm keeping her ass alive whether she likes it or not!!!
